Projects and clients can vary massively. My method allows all projects to achieve their potential, meet targets and help drive businesses forward. From leaflets to websites, this process can be applied to all.
The creative process is an efficient way of working. It means your budget will be used correctly to produce a targeted output. Just jumping into the design phase could mean producing something that does not meet your requirements, regardless of how nice it looks. You don’t want to spend most of your budget refining a poor quality design.
Depending on the project and budget, not all stages of this process will be applied in full. Some projects, like websites, will require all stages of the process to be applied in full. Other more simple projects can require less from each stage, but at some stage, all aspects will be considered.
As well as digesting the brief, we need to understand your business, your target users or audience and make sure we have a clear direction to move in. This can include competitor research, mood boards, user and buyer personas as well as advice on which solution is right for the brief. Working closely with you or your internal team is key for this stage to succeed. Brand and website workshops can be provided to help us define your target audience, purpose and structure.
The power of purpose. We take the information gathered at the discovery stage and apply it to the creative output. Now that we know who it is for, what it needs to achieve and we have a stylistic direction, we can make sure the creative has a defined purpose.
There are different ways to apply this phase depending on the project type. For example, if it were a brochure we would be looking at the format, page plan and content. If we were producing a website this would involve wireframes, functionality, user flows and platform. Wireframes are an interactive way of viewing your new website without any design applied. It will help you visualise the functionality, structure and content location to see if we are creating a website that meets all of your needs before we move onto the design phase.
The exciting stage! All of the previous processes lead toward this stage being as effective as possible. We will be able to fully focus on making the designs engaging, on-brand and highly professional. Depending on the scope of the project, this will include design options and concepts.
We will refine the designs based on your feedback and our expertise. We will work together to make adjustments until you are 100% happy with the final designs.
We will handle all of your print requirements. We only work with proven printers for industry professionals that provide the highest quality print at a competitive price. We have years of experience in delivering accurate and complex print from leaflets and brochures to rubber moulded USB sticks and large format printing.
With websites, this phase means handing it over to the developer and having your website built. I will be putting together a more detailed process just for websites and other digital outputs soon. There is also ‘content population’ which mixes with the delivery phase of the website process.
